1. TYPE THE MASTHEAD
First, find the current issue [January/February/March 2010/Winter/Spring 2010] of a magazine listed above. Then, type both the editorial & business masthead into a text (.txt) file.
Include every name and position--even those interns! Don't worry about capitalizing names or getting the mailing address. Type each name and job position in this format with a colon between the position and name:
Assistant Editor: Juanita Smith
2. SCAN THE MASTHEAD & COVER AND SAVE AS A PDF
Scan & save the masthead page(s) and cover as black & white PDF files and indicate the magazine's issue date (month/year). Please remember to scan both the editorial and business mastheads. Sometimes the business masthead is on the pages following the editorial masthead, so please remember to check.
If you do not send one of these pages (including cover), your login access will be delayed.
It's very important that we have a PDF of the masthead before we can post. If a discrepancy arises, we will have to go back to the printed masthead to resolve any errors. We do our best to proofread and triple-check each submission, but errors do occasionally occur.
3. THEN, SEND IT TO US VIA E-MAIL!
E-mail the text and PDF file(s) to: newsubmissions[at]mastheads.org. Be sure to include the magazine's title and issue date in the Subject Heading.
